El pasado día 9 de noviembre se celebró el Seminario de Directores de Academia Militares de la Unión Europea que, en su edición de 2023, ha sido organizado por la Academia General del Aire (AGA) de España. Asistieron los Comandantes Directores de dichas academias militares así como los directores de los centros universitarios de aquellos países en los que la formación universitaria de grado se imparte conjuntamente con la formación militar.
El seminario se inició con la interpretación de los himnos oficiales de la Unión Europea y de España y, a continuación, el Coronel Director de la AGA dio la bienvenida a todos los participantes. Seguidamente, el Director General de Reclutamiento y Enseñanza Militar del Ministerio de Defensa de España desarrolló la conferencia bajo el título “Spanish Perspective on EU Security Policy Under the Framing of Spanish Presidency”, a la que siguió una breve charla de Mr Holger Osterieder sobre “European Security Defence College” y la presentación del Programa Emilyo (Exchange of Military Young Officers) o Erasmus Militar, por el Coronel austriaco Harald Gell. Posteriormente se constituyeron los grupos de trabajo con componentes de diversos países para, al final de la mañana, presentar las conclusiones de estos.
Por parte del Centro Universitario de la Defensa de San Javier (CUD-AGA) asistieron el Subdirector del Centro y dos profesores del mismo, los cuales participaron activamente en el grupo de trabajo sobre ciberespacio.
